My 2023 Year in Review
A Journey of Gratitude and Growth

As we wrap up another remarkable year, I find myself pausing to reflect on the moments that have shaped 2023. It's been a journey filled with growth, challenges, and incredible experiences. If I could capture the essence of this year in a single word, it would undoubtedly be gratitude. I am profoundly grateful for every opportunity, learning experience, and the support that has come my way. Let's take a moment to celebrate the milestones we've reached together!
2023: A Year of Remarkable Achievements
For my annual reflection, I meticulously go through each week in my planner, focusing on the “Wins” section. This special area is where I've noted down, week by week, the small joys and achievements of the year. As I read through these entries at year's end, I compile them into my “Sadie’s Awesomeness List”. This exercise is a personal highlight of my year, rediscovering countless little blessings that had slipped my mind, only to be joyfully remembered as I revisit each week’s triumphs. Here are a few highlights below:
Fun Projects that Sparked Joy:
1. Planner Launch: Brought my vision to life and launch my first planner The Observer
2. Newsletter Milestone: Authored 14 insightful articles in my personal newsletter. Thank you for reading!
3. Educational Impact: Launched an AI course on LinkedIn and revamped my Coursera course.
4. Podcast Ventures: Hosted 28 engaging podcast episodes, saw the Data Bytes Podcast continue to grow and had some amazing conversations.
5. Global Influence: Spoke at 20 events across 7 countries.
Business and Work Successes:
1. Expanding Impact: Women in Data grew by 20%.
2. Scaling SSL Innovations: Achieved a 300% growth.
3. Technological Leap: Launched Women in Data’s exclusive app.
Personal Triumphs:
1. Fitness Milestones: Set new personal records in strength training and can finally do a strict pull-up!
2. Artistic Expression: Completed three abstract paintings.
3. Financial Goals: Met my savings target for a new house.
4. Love and Joy: Married my soulmate in a magical castle wedding in France!
5. Musical Journey: Embraced the harp, learning 10 beautiful songs.
6. Language Skills: Dedicated 150 days to learning French.
